Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 has ditched a single-player campaign in favor of a new battle royale mode called ‘Blackout.’ While it’s disappointing to see the campaign axed, I can’t help but feel excited for the new mode. Everything we’ve seen so far about Blackout looks awesome.
Fortunately, we won’t just have screenshots and game trailers to go off of before the game launches this coming October. Treyarch will be running a closed beta beginning this coming week devoted entirely to Blackout. Here’s everything you need to know about the Blackout beta on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Is the beta open to the public?
This is a question with two answers: Yes and no. The “no” in this case is the more accurate answer, however. If you’re on PS4 or Xbox One you’ll need to pre-order the game in order to play in the Blackout beta. If you’re on PC there is a short open beta next weekend (more details below.)
